Salah Czapary, is a Democratic City Council candidate representing Ward 1 in Washington, D.C. As a former police officer and police administrator, the main focus of his campaign was based around public safety and addressing the rising violence and crime rate in the city.
Goal
Our goal for this project was to utilize video advertisements alongside his other campaign strategies to create the most effective campaign. Some of the main things we are creating video for is to:
- Spread awareness of Salah running for office
- Encourage voters to vote for him
- Raise funds
Target Audience & Message
After some research we figured out who we wanted to talk to:
- Ward 1 DC residents
- Young adults (25-50)
- Swing voters
- People tired of current representation

In the dynamic landscape of political campaigning, harnessing the power of multimedia has become paramount. In our collaboration with Salah, a passionate advocate for change, we crafted a narrative that resonated deeply with his vision and values through three distinct video productions.
1. The Awakening Launch: Our inaugural video served as a compelling wake-up call, depicting individuals navigating daily routines with closed eyes, symbolizing societal obliviousness. Salah’s campaign announcement became a rallying cry for collective awareness and proactive engagement.
2. Personal Narrative Unveiled: Delving into Salah’s persona, the second video spotlighted his extensive background in public safety, highlighting his unwavering dedication to social justice and expertise as pillars of trust.
3. Charting the Course for Change: In the final installment, we used motion graphics to underscore the gravity of issues facing D.C., interweaving Salah’s vision for a better tomorrow amidst daunting statistics. This video positioned him as an advocate for tangible progress.
Through these meticulously crafted video campaigns, Salah’s narrative transcended politics, becoming a testament to the power of vision, empathy, and action. As his journey unfolds, these videos stand as testaments to his transformative leadership and the enduring impact of storytelling in shaping the future.
Analysis
We released the projects in succession and helped him raise almost $280,000. The videos saw amazing results and helped raise awareness and help voters get excited about his campaign!
